Frank A. Heimann

1930 - 2015

Frank A. Heimann, 84, Washington, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, in New Haven.

Frank, son of the late Frank E. Heimann and wife Hilda, nee Feldmann, was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Washington. He received his education from St. Peter's School. He was united in marriage to Marie Schlitt Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Francis Borgia Church. Frank served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church, was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and member of V.F.W. Post 2661. Frank owned Heimann Siding and Roofing, which later became Heimann Construction.

Among his survivors are two daughters, Nancy Heimann and special friend Steve Brown, Washington, and Lynette Arens and husband Francis, Union; two brothers, Donald Heimann and wife Betty, Dutow, and Louis Heimann and wife Mary, Washington; six sisters, Dorothy Flippin, St. Louis, Mary Jane Heimann, Lorraine Beste, Karen Krimmel and husband Tom, all of Washington, Joan Baldwin and husband Jim, Belle, and Jeanette Abernathie and husband Ed, Wentzville; five grandchildren, Nathan Loepker and wife Samantha, Katrina Hrastich and husband Andy, Katherine, Kurtis and Kelli Arens; four great-grandchildren, Jenna, Cierra, and Dylan Loepker, and Madalyn Hrastich; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Heimann; his parents; three brothers, Norbert, Marvin and Roland Heimann; mother- and father-in-law, Lucinda and Vincent Schlitt; and one brother-in-law, Charles Schlitt.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Aug. 17, at St. Francis Borgia Church, with the Rev. Joseph Wormek officiating.

Interment, with full military honors, was held at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Francis Borgia Church.

Arrangements were in care of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
