Gary Fisk Obituary
He was born Feb. 11, 1957, in the United Kingdom, the son of Russell Seymour Fisk and wife Lily Elizabeth, nee Plympton. On Dec. 27, 2002, he was united in marriage to LoisAnn Bardot.
Gary was proud to have served his country in both the U.S. Army and Missouri Army National Guard, having attained the rank of SP4 over an 18-year period of service. He enjoyed going to car shows, had a special fondness of his Ford Ranchero and was an avid NASCAR fan, following his favorite driver, Mark Martin. He loved watching movies, especially James Bond and John Wayne movies. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs football teams and also enjoyed listening to baseball games. Gary also loved Oscar Mayer bologna and vienna sausages.
Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. They lovingly referred to him as "Mr. G."?The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by all of them forever.
Gary is survived by his wife, LoisAnn Bardot-Fisk, Grubville; his mother-in-law, Joan Bardot, Lonedell; siblings-in-law, Robert Bardot Jr. and wife Dianna, Roger Bardot and wife Wendy, and Pam Broeker and husband Troy, all of Lonedell; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lily Fisk; his brother, Dennis Fisk; and his father-in-law, Robert Bardot Sr.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 25, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair. A service will follow at noon, with Deacon TJ Wilde officiating.
Inurnment, with full military honors, will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
Memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
Arrangements are in care of Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
