Gary Weirich Obituary

Gary Ether Weirich, 77, Gerald, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur.

He was born Nov. 23, 1944, to Ether and Katherine (Seymore) Weirich in St. Louis. He was united in marriage to Barbara Gail Harris Aug. 28, 1976 in St. Louis.

Gary had served his country with the United States Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. He enjoyed riding horses, riding his Harley-Davidson, spending time on the water and time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine (Seymore) Weirich, and Ether and Jean Weirich; and wife, Barbara.

He is survived by his children, Kara Meyer and husband Aaron, Owensville, Jeff Weirich and wife Dawn, Washington; brother, Dewey Cox, Virginia; sisters, Joyce Austin and husband Robert, St. Louis, Donna Williams and husband Bob, Villa Ridge; and grandchildren, David Weirich, Robert Weirich, Ava Weirich, Rhiannon Eilers, Garrett Eilers, Tanner Meyer and Addilyn Meyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 4 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Antioch Christian Church. A private family service will follow, with Pastor Brad Royal officiating.

The cremains will be interred in Weirich Cemetery.

Memorials requested to Antioch Christian Church.

Arrangements entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
