1945 - 2022

Janet Ruth Campbell, nee Rowden, 77, St. Clair, departed this life Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, in St. Clair.

Janet was born July 1, 1945, the daughter of Junior Clarence Rowden and wife Ila Faye, nee Ahart. On Oct. 30, 1964, she was united in marriage to Edward Lee Campbell, known to most as Bub, and three children came to bless this union.

During her working career, she was employed by Rexam Containers as a machinist, retiring after many years of service. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making quilts and cross stitching. Janet loved to travel, go to casinos and play bingo. What meant most to her was time spent with family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by all of them.

Janet is survived by her husband, Edward "Bub" Campbell, St. Clair; her children, Curtiss Campbell and wife Terry, Festus, Darren Campbell and wife Bobbie, St. Clair, and Janna Holden and husband Henry, Lonedell; one brother, Kenneth Rowden, Cadet; her sister, Sherry Bolte and husband Bruce, St. Clair; her grandchildren, Andrew Campbell, Jackson Campbell and wife Amber, Carson Campbell, Dalton Campbell, Samuel Campbell, Skylar Holden and wife Maria, and Elle Barnett and husband Brock; her great-granddaughter, Bailey Kay Holden; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Ila Rowden, and one brother, Ronnie Rowden.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Eugene Hudson officiating.

Entombment was in Crestview Memorial Park.
