1981 - 2024

Robert Louis "Bobby" Simpson, 42, Washington, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at his home.

Bobby was born Aug. 15, 1981, in Des Peres, to James and Sheila, nee Benedict, Simpson. He began his childhood in High Ridge until his family moved to Washington in 1994. He graduated from Washington High School in 2001. After high school, Bobby began working in landscaping. He continued his career in landscaping until he became disabled in an automobile accident. He was blessed with one daughter, Kaylee.

Bobby played baseball in high school and loved to watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. He also enjoyed watching St. Louis Blues hockey games, listening to music, going for walks, and being outdoors. He was a member of Life Stream Church in Washington. Bobby cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaylee Simpson, Union; father, Jim Simpson, Villa Ridge; mother, Sheila Simpson, Washington; grandmothers, Marylynn Simpson, Crestwood, Joyce Benedict, Washington; three brothers, James Simpson and wife Stephanie, Union, Billy Simpson, Columbia, Charles Simpson, Portland, Oregan; two nephews, Jason Simpson, Jonny Simpson; one niece, Jaidyn Simpson; and many other relatives and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Simpson, Donnie Benedict; step-grandfather, John Buckingham; and one cousin, Will Simpson.

A funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington, with Pastor Paul Scheperle officiating.

Interment was held privately.
