William Westermann Obituary
William, son of the late Charles Westermann and wife Vera, nee Toelke, was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Washington. He was united in marriage to Berniece Wehmeyer Oct. 5, 1968, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rosebud. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. William was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort, co-owner of Beaufort Motor Co. for 20 years, and member of the Beaufort-Leslie Fire District for 25 years, where he served six years as president.
William is survived by his wife, Berniece Westermann, Leslie; one son, Kevin Westermann and wife Lorri, Leslie; one sister, Erna Mae Boles and husband Jim, Spring Bluff; three grandchildren, William, Wesley and Cathleen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vera Westermann.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort, with the Rev. Timothy Brown officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Gerald.
