Khyler J. Edman, 15, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019. He was born on February 2, 2004, in Port Charlotte, FL to Jessicca English and William Edman.

Khyler was full of life, enjoying fishing, travels to the beach, special trips to Zoomers where he especially loved the bumper cars and riding bikes with his friends. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and a forever fan of the Gators. He was also a member of ROTC at Charlotte High School, where he trained and prepared for his future following graduation. Mostly, he is known for his unselfishness, always putting others before himself. Khyler will always hold the title of an awesome big brother to his siblings, especially his sister. He was kind, caring, loving, and will be missed by many.

Khyler will be deeply missed by his mother Jessicca English; father William (Tonya) Edman; brother Kolten English; sister Khaleesi Clemens; 6 step-siblings; grandmother Rebecca English; grandparents Mary (Gary) Summers; grandfather Harold Edman Sr.; several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 1st Alliance Church, 20444 Midway Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL. I am so sorry for your loss I will continue to keep you guys in my prayers and heart may he Rip he may be gone but he will never be forgotten I met him a few times he seemed like a nice kid I just can't imagine what u are going through as a mother cause when I found out I was heart broken rip Khyler Also known as my (brothers keeper) and continue to watch over your family and friends as they continue to grieve of your passing and still in shock that u are really gone

I send my sincerest condolences to Khyler's family and friends. Although I haven't had the privilege of knowing him, I sense that he was a very sweet young man and was taken away way too soon sadly. May you take comfort in your memories of him and be proud of the wonderful legacy he left behind.

I, like a lot of people that are leaving your family messages have not met any of your family. We will never have the honor of meeting your son. Reading his obituary he sounds like almost every teenage boy but he did something most teenage boys wouldn't do. He fought to protect his sister. I read an article about him last night. I cannot get him out of my mind and I've shared this story with dozens of people. I will always remember what he did. I know that you would rather have your baby here and I'm so sorry that won't happen. Please accept my apologies and also know he was an actual hero!!!! I'll remember him forever.
