CHARLES STONE Obituary

Charles Glendon Stone Charles Glendon Stone, age 70, of Enterprise, AL died Saturday, August 18, 2012. Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 12:00 noon from Nunn-Wheeler Cemetery in McIntyre, Ga. with Dr. Michael Mynatt and Dr. Mack Amis, Jr. officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jesse Stone, Terrell Stone, Ronnie Stone, Thomas Stone, Mickey Stone, and Timothy Stone. Survivors are his wife, Joann Stone of Enterprise, AL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Deana Stone of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rodney and Tracie Stone of Milledgeville, and Stacey and Cathy Stone of Helena; one daughter and son-in-law, Katina and Shawn Alexander of Moore, S.C.; two step-sons, Nicholas Bowden of Atlanta, and Jeffrey Bowden of Daleville, AL; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was a native of Appling County but had resided in Enterprise, AL for the past 16 years. Mr. Stone was born August 18, 1942 in Appling County and was the youngest of 13 children, and was the last surviving child of the late Jesse T. Stone and Lilly Mae Reeves Stone. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 500 Alberta Street, Enterprise, AL 36330. The family will assemble at the home of Stacey and Cathy Stone, 21 Scuppernong Dr., Helena. Swain Funeral Home, Inc. of Baxley, GA, (912) 367-2242 is in charge of arrangements. To the family of pee wee, i am soo sorry for your loss, I know it is hard for yall because Mr. Stone was such a wonderful person. I know this because from the time God put him in my path, I knew he was special and was brought to me for a reason. Well I can go on and on. Yall are a wonderful family and if there is anythingI can do please let me know. I will always remember his beutiful smile. Am so glad to know there is another wonderful angel watching over us. God Bless yall and yall are always in my thoughts and prayers.
