Christine Lee Hildreth Christine Lee Hildreth passed to life eternal on December 2, 2009. She was 90. She was born in Bellwood, Alabama on August 13, 1919 to Henry Cade and Carrie Mae Lee, the eighth of ten children. Visitation will be Friday evening, Dec. 4 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory and on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Enterprise. A celebration of Christine Hildreth's life will be held in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 with burial to follow at Mea-dowlawn Cemetery. Box 830, Selma, AL 36702 or a charity of your choice. A graduate of Daleville High School & the Moody School of Nursing in Dothan, Hildreth pursued further nurse's training in Selma. She joined her sister Mazie in enlisting for service in World War II, and they were stationed together at a military hospital in Boca Raton, Florida. Following the war, Hil-dreth moved to Enterprise and began a career of more than 30 years as a registered nurse at Gibson Hospital and Enterprise Medical Clinic. She met and married James Hildreth, with whom she enjoyed more than 59 years and four children. Hildreth was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Enterprise and treasured her association with the Edna Guice Sunday School Class for many years. She was devoted to her family, faith and community. All were enriched by her love. Hildreth was preceded in death by her husband, James; sisters, Mildred Heath and Mazie Bynum and by brothers, Dell, Don, Max and Rex Lee. Survivors include children, Mary Ann and Jimmy Lee of Andalusia, Jim of Enterprise, Susan of Montgomery and John of Austin, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Jason Lee (Leesa) of Birmingham and Jennifer Lee of Andalusia and her precious great-grandson, Jack. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Brunson of Hastings, MI and Carolyn Richardson of Chipley, FL, as well as brother, Calvin Lee of Enterprise.
