Louise was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Enterprise to the late Dr. and Mrs. Henry Herbert White. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, and when she could not be with them, hearing the interesting stories of their lives. She loved listening to the Bible on tape as well as faithfully praying for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alex V. Carmichael; one son, R. Drew Carmichael; and granddaughter Chana Chancey Rainey. She is survived by her children Linda C. Willmott and her husband Peter of The British Virgin Islands; Alex Van Carmichael and fiancé Mary Ann Schwehm, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mary Nita Smith and her husband Darrell of Dothan, Ala.; and Kathy Dismukes and her husband Louis (Bugs) of Inlet Beach, Fla.; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also, her special friend and helper Shirley Carson and the loving family at Mathison Retirement Center.
Louise was known and loved as "Michael" by her grandchildren Eric Chancey; Josh Carmichael and his wife Betsy; Lee Finison and her husband Bryan; Alexa Wells; Jared Wells and his wife Carrie; Cade Wells and his wife Heather; Damon Dismukes and his wife Mary Catherine; Jay Dismukes; and by her nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Hattie Sessions, Nell Carmichael, and by Billy and Marion Carmichael.
Funeral services to celebrate Louise's life will be Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at 2 p.m. Searcy Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise, Ala., with Dr. John C. Friedman officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Fountain Of Love, c/o Mathison Retirement Center, 3637 W Hwy 390, Panama City, Fla., 32405 or the charity of your choice.

Michael was a wonderful grandmother, a strong Christian woman, and a supporting, loving mother. She will be missed, but she is in a better place that we all long for. She is with her husband, son, and many other loved ones.
