Albert Keegan Obituary

Albert F. Keegan Architect, Loving Husband and Father Albert “Al” Keegan, 86, formerly of Independence Court and Findlay, Ohio, died on Monday evening at the St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge. He was born in Corning, N.Y. on February 6, 1919 a son of the late Alber and Anna Riseau Keegan. A longtime resident of Findlay, Ohio, he moved to Erie in 2000. He was a registered architect in both Pennsylvania and Ohio and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He received his BS degree from the University of Arkansas and was a graduate of the George Washington University School of Engineers. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the Airbourne Engineers and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He had been active at the executive level in Boy Scouting and a member of the Findlay, Ohio Sertoma Club. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Ruth Hamilton Keegan; two sons, Roger Keegan and his wife Carolyn of Erie and Robert Keegan and his wife Margee of Newtown, Conn.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Duffler, Jane Keegan and one in her youth. Funeral services were private and under the direction of the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie.
