Allie Porter Obituary
Allie was a driver for social service agencies and loved to play music on the drums, singing, and dancing. He loved his family and was a people person and loved boxing and watching the Steelers play. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 700.
In addition to his parents, Allie is preceded in death by a son, Marsell Logan, grandsons Dale Porter, Devonte Henderson, granddaughter Journey Gambill-Gilmore, and great grandsons Taharien Moss, Harden Moss III, and Ayden Moss, and a sister, Mary Porter.
Allie is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Verna (Logan) Porter, Tony Torran, Alonzo Logan, Stephan Porter (Yovann), Allie L. Porter III (Chaka), Terrance Porter, Stephanie Easterling (Melvin), Monique Logan, Tyrone Porter (Andrea), Ebony Porter (Tony Bell), Luciana Trevino (David), Romuald M. Knight, Shalon Henderson (Monica), Mary Young (Darryl), Tiwane Porter, Allieshea Gambill-Brown (Aaron), Genovia Gambill, 56 grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, and good friends for over 65 years, Merle Poston, Willie C Macadory, and Eddie Euell.
Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St., Erie, PA 16503, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends may attend the service virtually via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/Edward-J-Garr-Funeral-Home-Inc-100130284712299/ Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
