Anthony P. "Tony" Bardo

Anthony P. “Tony” Bardo Anthony P. “Tony” Bardo, age 64, of Harvard Road, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence following a seven year battle with cancer. He was born September 29, 1944, in Erie, a son of the late Charles and Carmella Comi Bardo. He graduated from Strong Vincent High School and served in the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam War. He worked for the Erie Water Authority for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed his grandchildren, restoring cars, drag racing and casinos. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent, John and Richard Bardo. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patti A. Ricci Bardo of Erie; one daughter, Michele L. Leone and her husband, Mark; one son, Anthony P. Bardo II, and his wife, Mary Lynn, all of Erie; one brother, Charles Bardo of Arkansas; and four sisters, Prudence Caldwell, Sadie Randazzo, and Anita Stiles, all of Erie, and Carol Yochim, of Texas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
