I first metBruce at may,s tavern and after that there never was a dull moment with him. He was the spark that started things going and kept them going. From soccer to pass, punt and kick fast pitch and codger ball. I miss him and all his buzzing around. He always made everyone feel like they were part of his family and what a great family he had,the best I’m sure the lord is keeping him and patty pretty busy organizing parties and get together. Rest In Peace Bruce, lord how’s you sure earned it.

Sending sympathies to the family and friends of Bruce. Bruce was a great guy. We were on the Alstede at the same time for a short period of time. When he attended the Alstede reunions, everyone knew Bruce. He definitely kept the party going. He was not able to the last reunion, and was sorely missed. Bruce will always be remembered.

I met Bruce once as a teenager when he rented his first apt. from my father on Parkway Dr. He put a spike into the wood mantel and Dad was not happy - never forgot that! Glad to see he went on to have a wonderful life and touched so many! God bless!
March 29, 2020
What a truely wonderful man. I attended many choir practices with Bruce and you are correct. not a song was ever song! Attending conventions in Yegas and staying at the San Remo Hotel with Patty and Mr.Erie Pa.was a party of laughs. When my son was in eigth grade Bruce insisted on taking us to a West Virgina football gane, which came with a tailgate party, visits to areas not open for visitors and somehow a trip onto the field during the game with Bruce's reuseable press bands,my son having such a great time on that day latter attended and graduated from WVU!!! Bruce was one of the good guys in our bsiness Greg Thomas from Floor Expressions

Mr. Baumann was a visionary with his early leadership in the Erie soccer community. His work with others to create opportunity for kids to be involved in what was at the time a misunderstood and largely unknown sport has lead to lifelong friendships and a great outlet for players and families.
Thank you

Bruce Baumann....Departing
After many years at monthly Navy Luncheons (organized and MC'D by Bruce), and many years on the Flag Brigade (organized and managed by Bruce), putting American Flags all over Erie, Wesleyville, and Harborcreek. The bridges and ball fields are now silent. As sad as a loss that it is, it has to be a heavier loss for his family. Our condolences to all of his family, and thank you for sharing some of his life with us.

I know I share my condolences with everyone who ever met him. Your former coach Bill "Hildy" Hildenbrand

Without a doubt, Bruce was one of the most well-known and beloved people in Erie. Possessing an enormous heart and extraordinarily keen wit, he had a magnetic charm about him that made him the life of the party, at all parties, at all times. He was everybody's friend, and would do anything for you, and always had his fun while doing so. If ever there was one of a kind, it was Bruce. His passing marks the end of an era. I will sorely miss you, my dear friend.

We will miss the original & funniest Codger of all time! We have so many great memories of Bruce and as the host of the Codger banquets, he keep everyone laughing so hard that tears were running down our cheeks! Bruce had a way of lighting up the room and was never serious for too long. Even in the end, his sense of humor prevailed. We love ya, man! We send our deepest sympathy to the family.

I have to say this is by far the best obituary I've ever read! Bruce was one of a kind... My mom, H Joan' Rzepecki and Bruce hosted many outings as Ripp-Baum Productions. One such Event - St Paddy Trolley tour 1997 I met my husband Steve. The one funny story I have is Bruce & Patty attended our wedding in October 98 His card to us was a Xmas card. It was for I want to say $53:65. He said he wanted to use a Xmas card and added the cost of a real wedding card to our gift. LOL. RIP Bruce. Hope your enjoying a ice beer my Dad. Ronnie Ripp!

Great role model for being a Dad From the early days of nurturing athletic skills (Punt, Pass & Kick) to supporting the boys' musical talents (Plato's Cave, et. al). He offered up Carpetowne and the Baumann basement as reliable practice spots for many late nights. Rugs Not Drugs.
Prayers go out to the whole family in this difficult stretch. Bruce raised a family of fighters and survivors. You'll get through it together. Love from the Walkers.

To the family of Bruce, the Wilhelm family, James, Richard and Walter, will always remember Bruce and are very sorry for your loss.
Bruce, rest in peace my friend and may GOD keep you close to HIS heart, as HE carries you home, where there is no pain, only peace, clean carpets and good Softball. We were all born and grew up as members of the Edison School Neighborhood, where you were a major player, with your charitable giving, especially to Mount Calvary RC Church. The Hess Ave community, young and old, will always remember you and your family for what you brought to the sport of Softball.
Bruce, our visit several months ago will remain solid, as I remember the character of Bruce Baumann.
Another Road Agent has gone home.
