Veronica,
My heart is broken for you at this time of loss of your dearly beloved brother, Chuckie. I know how much you have always loved all your brothers. He surely is greatly missed by many and that is a wonderful tribute for anyone. Continue to draw closer to God at this time of grief, and always; for He, the Holy Spirit, is the only one who can truly give you comfort.....and He will ....for the bible teaches us that He loves us and is our comforter and helper, So lean on him and enjoy all the happy memories you have of your brother. I love you.

Although I only knew Chuck for a little over a couple of years I became goods friends with him and Colleen. We had some good times together and me and Rick will miss him dearly. We will have the memories of our Canada trips together, our drive to Missouri and our nights at Sullivans to remember him. I will always remember his smile and him saying Hi Corinne as soon as I'd walk in the bar. I can picture that grin of his right now. It will be missed. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of becoming friends with him and wish Colleen and the girls my deepest sympathy.

Chuck,

There's not enough words that I could say or type to describe you brother. We've had a lot of good times together and a few rough ones. We've been through thick and thin in just a few good years of knowing each other. Its hard to realize you wont be there on Thursdays for darts, be at the door on St. Patty's Day with me, not answering your cell phone to go sign up at the club, or take mini vacations with. My brother, you will truly be missed by all and especially by me. Thank you for being one of the most reliable and trustworthy friends a person could have. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. You know we will help them get through this. You'll always be in our hearts and we'll see each other again.

Love Always,
Kraus

People say memories are the best things you can hold, when i think of our memories. It takes a man to hold back to the tears, but I am not trying to be a man, I am a real friend. Your smile will always make my day shine brighter. I think about all the trouble we have been through, the fun we had, the tattoos you have given to me. They will always bring back good but some painful memories, but plenty of good thoughts to follow. Im gonna have your name tattoed over the tat you gave me, so that I am not the only one who remembers how good of a friend you were, but so everybody else could share my love for how good of a friend you were. Rest in peace bro, I love you

Chuckie,
What can I say to you? There are no words to express to you how much I love and miss you,you are my baby. I wish you would have given me the chance to tell you how very proud of you I am, to tell you what a great father you are, how many times I should have said "I love you" but didn't, taking for granted that you knew. I wish that you would have just came and talked to me,maybe I wouldn't have understood but at least I could have given you the comfort that only a mother knows how to give. I would have listened. We can't go back, we can't change the way things have turned out but as you look down upon us, all of us,your family and friends (and you sure had the friends) I hope you can see that you are loved by everyone that came into your life. You will always be in my heart, you are my son,I love you,Chuckie and miss you so much..so many memories, your first words, your first steps, your tantrums, the mischief you and Billy always seemed to get into, the many times you snuck out the bedroom window. (bet you thought I didn't know about that!) Who would have thought you would have turned your life around to become the man you have become. We will be together again but until then I will cherish the memories and your smile that touched everyones heart in one way or another. I love you, my son,my "little Chuckie".I am so proud of you.

My deepest prayer is there for Chucks family. I had the pleasure of knowing chuck way back when he was a young boy. He used to drive me nuts with all my brothers friends in the neighborhood, but he was a good kid as well. Then i was able to know Chuck again when he got older and was working at Plastek. He really grew into a very nice young man, and will be missed by me and my family. My heart goes out to his mom and his wife, and children.

Remember all the times we shared
All the times you showed you cared
You were the one I looked up to
Even though you never had a clue
We are always going to love you

All the mistakes you made
All the games that we played
All the times that we shared
All the moments that we laughed
All the things that we did

When I was born you were a boy
Only thirteen years older then me
This wasnt to see
It all happened to quickly

We will always remember your smile
The way you made all of us laugh
Your energetic personality
We will all miss you Uncle Chuckie

~I wrote this for him, though he will never see it I know he is looking down on us. I will always save a tootsie roll for you, Uncle Chuckie. And I still have your Hoss's hat. I will always remember the great snowmen you and Billy used to build. You were the Best Uncle I could have ever asked for. I Love and Miss you. Rest in Peace and it wont be long before we all see you again.

Love you always,
Your neice.

Chuck,

Well my Love, words cannot begin to explain what the girls and I are feeling right now. I am so glad that we have so many wonderful memories to cherish forever . There isn't a night that I lay down to try to go to sleep and I don't see that handsome face of yours and that spectacular smile that goes with it. I can't believe that we went from Saturday morning talking about how you wanted our family back and how you missed holding me at night to this. This is still so unreal for me. You were even ready to get counseling to make our marriage work.On Monday LuLu and I went to our house to clean things up and beore we left I said I couldn't go until I grabbed your wedding band.I couldn't find it and started to panic. I looked up to the cieling and asked you to help me and show me some type of sign to lead me in the right direction, and you did give me a sign but I found something I least expected. You told me the other day that you had something for me for a long time and just hadn't given it to me yet. Well baby I found it and it's beautiful. You always did know exactly what I liked. I will cherish it forever, and before I go I will hand it down to Kalei. After that I found your wedding band and will hold it close to my heart forever. Kalei took some of your things. She sleeps in your sweatshirt at night, washes with your bodywash when she takes a bath and walks around the house in your slippers everyday. I wish I could hold you and kiss you one more time and tell you that I love you. I am so sorry for anything I've ever done to hurt you and forgive you for anything you have done in the past. I hope you find it in your heart and soul to forgive me also. Someday we will meet again and our love shall be reunited. I feel you with me everyday and hope that, that feeling is right. No one wil ever take that sacred spot in my heart, soul and mind that you hold. You will be there forever. Please give me the strength and guidance to make the best decisions possible for our girls and for myself. Please watch over us and help us through this. We can't have you in body, but we need your soul to help guide us through. We will never forget you and we will love you forever.
I LOVE YOU CHUCK!!

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

February 19, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

And a cure was not meant to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered come with me
With tearful eyes we watched you
As we saw you pass away
Although we love you deeply
We could not make you stay
Your golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And the days before that,too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in aframe.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in His Keeping.
We have you in our heart.
