I am so sorry to hear that Ps. Wertz passed away. He was such an asset to our community and our Lutheran churches. I remember him from our East Erie Cluster of Lutheran churches to which he encouraged and added so many ideas and shared his knowledge. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Kelly: I just found out about your dad and am so sorry for your loss.

I remember a lot about your dad. He married my brother Steve at Faith Lutheran Church back in 1991 and was gracious enough to let me get married there earlier that same year by my then husband's minister (who was from Hershey, PA) who officiated the service.

Your dad was a very kind man and I am sure will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Dear Family,

I'm sorry for your loss. I met Pastor Wertz a few years back at a Koinonia weekend. Charles proceeded over our group. I had the pleasure of talking with Pastor and found him to be just a regular person who deeply cared and believed in the goodness of others. Although I had met him only once our conversation stayed with me. I can understand how sad it is that he has passed on. He truly was a remarkable and wise man.

My prayers are with Reverend Wertz's whole family. I first met him at koinonia where he was our spiritual director. We called him Sister Chuck, since he was surrounded by women! I was lucky enough that he and his beautiful wife were also customers at Chido's Cleaners, where I worked for many years. What a wonderful man!! GOD bless you all!
