I attended Lincoln School with Daniel. We had Miss Carlow as our second grade teacher. She took the teacher's pets, Daniel, Lori and me to the Zoo on the last day of school. What a wonderful memory. Daniel had an incredible battle with chapped lips!!! I spoke to Danny when Miss Carlow died,in Ireland, quite some time ago, I hope they are reminiscing about the very good old days. RIP. This is very sad news indeed. Condolences to the family. Dan was a large part of my youth considering the many adventures and misadventures we had over the dozen or so years we ran around together. I think the first major rock concert for both of us was on 10/16/73 according to the ticket stub I still have. It was Badfinger, Spirit, and UFO at the Warner Theater. On one camping trip we knew that the tent site had an electric outlet, so we took along a record player and vinyl albums to entertain and/or annoy the other campers while we had our fun. Dan was always well connected. Somehow he knew someone with access to a small business building with a pool table upstairs. After a GE 2nd shift we went there and played pool all night until it was light. So many memories - Indy qualifying at Uncle John's, Eriez speedway, concerts, camp-outs, boredom, parties, hanging-out, and always music.

To the DeCoursey family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Dan was a great
co-worker and an even better friend. I will miss his amazing stories and his sense of humor, which he kept right up to the end. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. May he now rest in peace and be free of pain. ❤ Love Gwen

Sylvia and the DeCoursey family, I am so saddened to see this. Remembering all the fun and laughs we shared at Jeff's. He's free now, riding his Harley on the highways of Heaven. My prayers are with you all.
