Debbie Lamp Obituary

Debbie Vandervort Lamp Loving Wife, Mom, and Grandma Debbie Vandervort Lamp, 56, of Etter Road, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday afternoon May 26, 2009. A resident of the Erie area all of her life, she was born in Warren, Pa., on November 3, 1952, a daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Joann Fauzey Vandervort. Debbie was a graduate of Fort Leboeuf High School and had enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the races on Sunday, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Vandervort, and her paternal grandmother, Helen McCall. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Ken Lamp, Sr.; one son, Kenny Lamp, Jr., and his wife, Danette, of Erie; two daughters, Stacy Moffett and her husband, Dale, of Erie, and Wendy Smith and her husband, Jason, of Waterford; three sisters, Karen Harrison, Susan Seggi, and Patricia Graham; one brother, Robert Vandervort, Jr., of Mesa, Ariz.; and 13 grandchildren, Kelsey, Alyssa, Dale, Dalton, Kalli, Corinne, Chelsea, Dakota, Jamie, Rodger, David, Jason, and Andrew. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery. Uncle Kenny and family i am sorry that we lost another loved one. Aunt Debbie you were the best you were always there for me and i will never forget you. I am angry that you had to go so so I will never forget you. Aunt Debbie was the best especially when I was younger and she let me spend the night at her old house. She made me comfortable and made me feel at home.
