Elizabeth Brandon Obituary

Elizabeth Marconi Brandon, 88, of Erie, died Wednesday evening September 21, 2011 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. A resident of Erie most of her life she was born in Seminole, Pa. on June 7, 1923 a daughter of the late Achille and Melina Guilemi Marconi. Elizabeth was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed bingo and cooking. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William H. Brandon; one son, William L. Brandon; one daughter, Sandra A. Brandon; one grandson, Richard Tobin; and one sister, Inez Martinelli. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Tobin of Erie; two grandsons, Jay and Michael Tobin; two great granddaughters, Alyssa and Brittany Tobin; two sisters, Mary Sorci of Fredonia, N.Y. and Theresa Zambotti of Dunkirk, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, PA 16504.

Donna and Mike:

Sorry to hear about Non passing. I just found out yesterday. Dom said he called down to talk to Mike and Donna told him. We were both born on June 7 and she always asked me "if it was raining out" when i was born. she was a funny lady. Now she is in heaven with your dad and grandpa and Aunt Sandy.

Donna,
Stan and I are sad to hear of the loss of your mother. You were very fortunate to have such a great lady for a mother. She was a great neighbor for 27 years.
