Frank Herbert McCandless

Frank Herbert McCandless, 82, of Cambridge Springs, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2013 at the Erie VAMC. Frank was born December 14, 1930 in New Brighton, Pa., the son of the late Willard Franklin and Erma Violet (Caphart) McCandless. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as a Chief Engineer and served on the USS Forest Royal. He was a member of the F and AM Lawrence Lodge #708, Temple Royal Arch #215, Jerusalem Council #33, Mount Olivet Commandry #33 Scottish Rite, Red Cross of Constantine, Conewango Council #245 A.M.D. ,York Rite College #204, KYCH, Past Division Commander #12, St. John's Council, Talll Cedars of Lebanon #175, and the Evergreen Lodge #222. Besides his parents Willard and Erma McCandless, he was also preceded in death by a grandson Ayden. Survivors include his wife Diane (Dowd) Arbogast McCandless who he married July 13, 2002 in Belle Valley, Pa. daughters, Kristin McCandless and her companion Keith Belli of Oakridge, Tenn., and Tracy McCandless of Manahawkin, N.J., sons, Blake McCandless and his wife Barbara of Washingon, Pa., and Scott McCandless and his companion Susan Yope, of Aliquippa, Pa., step-daughters, Mickey Williams and her husband Stan of Erie, Pa., and Kris Coles and her companion Hugh Ward of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Step-sons, Keith DeMoss of Erie, Pa. and Clinton DeMoss and his wife Krystal of Waterloo, N.Y., six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Robert M. Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 62 South Main Street, Union City, Pa. on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. and may attend funeral services there on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clyde Cooper officiating. Masonic Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Memorials are requested to the Robert M.
