Vroman family,
I worked with Hugh many, many years ago at the National Forge. He was my supervisor in the Roughing Department. At the time, I was struggling as an irresponsible, know-it-all kid in my 20’s who thought he knew it all. Hugh always liked my attitude and work ethic and saw my potential. He sat me down one day in his office and shared with me the aforementioned. It was a “man to man” wake-up call that I badly needed! That conversation we had still lingers with me and impacted me positively for the rest of my life.
My heartfelt condolences to your entire family.
Sincerely,
Doug Nelson

When I first met Mr. Vroman I was in awe of those beautiful blue eyes and fabulous hair. I have the great honor of working with his two wonderful daughters, Lori and Vicky, and outstanding grandson, Nicky. Mr. Vroman raised a beautiful family and he will surely be missed by all.
