John was a close friend of my older brother Dave and it was through that friendship I had the good fortune to know him. I accompanied him and my brother to see the Cleveland Indians play and I appreciated John's steadfast support of the team. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hanisek family and the world has lost a good and kind soul.
