John Kader Obituary

John “Max” Kader John “Max” Kader, age 64, of Erie passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Saint Vincent Health Center. Born June 15, 1945 in Erie he was the late son of John F. and Georgia Claire Eichler Kader. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force. For the last seven years he worked for the Erie School District as a bus driver and previously had worked at Hammermill for 34 years. John was a devoted family man. He enjoyed doing work around the house, gardening, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years whom he married June 4, 1968, Ann Marie Hoskins Kader; a daughter, Tracy Tonty, husband Fred, of Erie; a son, Michael Kader, wife Michelle, of Waterford; a granddaughter, Amanda Jo Kader; a grandson, Austin Kader; two sisters, Constance McClenahan, husband Thomas and Francine Hake both of Erie; a brother, Robert Kader, wife Cathy, of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his beloved dog and pal, “Buddy”. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, LLP, 845 East 38th Street. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 14 East 38th Street with interim pastor Rev. Fred Poeppel officiating. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Mike, My condolences are with you and your family at this time, it had been along time since I had seen max, but ran into him again when he would drive the bus to my daughter cortnie's volleyball and basketball games for central. He would always sit and watch them play and we would talk some. It was nice to see him again. My famalies thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this hard time.
