Sorry to hear about Jo. My memories go back to when I was 4 years old at girl scout meetings for my sister Barb at Jo's house. (51 years ago) I am a dear friend of Butch and my sympathy goes out to you and your family. I also remember "Camelot" which Jo directed at FLB. She was a great lady.

"Art is all around you" is the quote I heard Miss Unger say to me one day. Art in literature, English language or the Visual Arts, she believed in me when I saw things differently in interpretation of Visual Art. I'm now married to a Visual Artist who expresses his interpretation in ways that are creative and expressive in meanings. This is also passed down to my son when he creates his pictures on a blank paper. I encourge the arts in any way I can because Miss Unger beliefs in the arts. The world will miss a true artist who has loved the world and has made her contribution and we thank her for doing so. Everytime I see a beautiful sunrise or a colorful sunset, see a play or read a good Shakespeare play, or breaking down a sentence of nouns and pronouns with my kids, I will always think of her. God Bless Josephine Unger. Thank you for making a difference in my life. Loretta (Szall) Keach

My sympathy to family and friends of Ms. Unger. I remember her fondly as one of my high school art teachers. With her encouragement I was able to find my talent in portrait drawing. Everyone who had the opportunity to learn from her was blessed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
