Linda Elder Obituary

Linda J. Elder Linda J. Elder, 49, of 10756 Shriner Rd., Titusville died at 3:09 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Titusville Area Hospital. Linda was born on December 23, 1956 in Titusville to Emmett Jones and the late Mary Lou Faunce Jones. She married Alan L. Elder on August 21, 1976 in Titusville. She was a graduate of Townville High School, class of 1975 and Crawford Co. Area Vocational Technical School. Linda was formerly employed for several years by the Titusville Area School District. She was vice president of Two-Bit Enterprises. A leader for Silver Spurs 4-H club for over 30 years and was the secretary for the light horse and pony division at the Crawford County Fair. Linda enjoyed working with the youth helping them to reach their goals. She also liked being outdoors raising quarter horses, creating custom leather works, photography and ceramics. She is survived by her husband Alan Elder of Titusville, her father and step-mother: Emmett and Shirley Jones of Titusville; a sister: Tina Caldwell and her husband Harry of Titusville; step-brother: Jodie Jones and his wife Carol of Saegertown; two sisters-in-law: Debbie Rawlings and her husband Dave of York and Sally and Steve Kantor of Bel Air, Md.; and numerous aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Rometown Community Church Rt. 89 north of Titusville on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Harger, officiating.
