Marilyn (Gray) Hudy, 87 of Girard, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020.

She was born in Edinboro, Pa., a daughter of the late Arthur and Audrey (Blystone) Gray.

She graduated from Cambridge Springs High School in 1951 and worked at the Riverside Inn at Cambridge Springs, Talon Industries in Meadville, Huckleberries in Meadville and also for Loren Smiths Meat Locker in Girard. She attended Vo-Tech in Erie to learn cosmetology and hair styling and was later self-employed at Marilyn's Beauty Salon in Lake City for 20 years.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard, where she had been a past-president of the Rosary Society and was a member of the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She had been a past-president of the Girard 55'ers and a past-secretary of the Meadville-Crawford County Hairdressers Association. Additionally, Marilyn was a member of the Erie Chapter of the Red Hat Society, the VNA, and was a charter member of the Presque Isle Artists' Association (PIAA). As a young lady, Marilyn enjoyed driving in the Powder Puff Derbies at Eriez Speedway. Later in life, she was a talented artist who worked with numerous mediums for which she received many honors. She also dabbled with yodeling, playing the ukulele, creating art with glass pieces and was a master at the card game of CAD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Hudy in 1992; her son Richard A. Hudy in July of this year, her sisters, Linda Belforie and Judith Gray; and her brothers, Francis and Clair Gray.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristine L. Miller (Mitchell) of Clemmons, N.C., her son, Robin L. Hudy (Edie) of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio, and four grandchildren, Stacy Whaley (Randy), Katherine Hudy, Matthew Miller and Kara Miller. She is further survived by her great-grandsons, Anthony Mosby, Grayson Kilgore and Emerson Miller, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately; a celebration of her life will be held at a later time.

Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
