Maxine Peters Obituary

Maxine Schultz Peters, age 87, of Lawrence Park, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born in Girard, Pa., on October 7, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Lucy English Schultz. Maxine was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked as a clerk at the East Side K-Mart for 14 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and her flower and vegetable gardens. Maxine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Melvin A. Peters; one daughter, Wanda Kavanagh of Lawrence Park; one son, Bradley Peters (Bernadette) of Erie; two sisters, Myrtle Hazen of East Springfield and Phyllis Gresh of Florida; three brothers, Homer and Cecil Schultz of Florida and Melvin Schultz of Erie; two grandchildren, Jennifer Kovach and Christopher Kavanagh; two greatgrandchildren, Rachael Kovach and Zoe Maldonado; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.
