Paula Fetterolf Obituary

Paula Lynne Fetterolf, age 50, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2021 at Meadville Hospice House after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last year March 2020.

She donated her body to science and will be cremated. We will hold a celebration of life for her family and friends at Pleasant Ridge Park in Fairview, Pa. on August 22nd 2021.

Paula Lynne Fetterolf was born on March 24, 1971 in Erie, Pennsylvania to William Fetterolf and was preceded by her mother Linda (Revak) Fetterolf.

Paula was a graduate of Northwestern High School in 1989 and received her Bachelor of Science from Edinboro University in 1993. She moved to Denver, Colorado for a short while before returning home to Cranesville, Pa. where she bought a home and had a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant at Maloney Reed Scarpitti & Company. Her career allowed her to travel locally with one exception when she traveled to northern Russia, where she sampled unique cuisine and experienced the challenges of sleeping when Russia is blanketed in sunlight nearly 24 hours a day for two months. With a gregarious personality, and aspirations to help her community, she was nominated as the Mayor of Cranesville 2004-2008. As Mayor she had the authority to marry people which she embraced. She equipped herself with the knowledge and attire to speak and conduct beautiful ceremonies like a professional. While working as a CPA and acting Mayor, she also made time to be Events (entertainment) Coordinator for Albion Area Fair 2001-2006. The greatest day in her life was when she married Joe Hlivko on October 27, 2007, the couple possessed magnetic personalities. Best friends and partners in life he shared her enthusiasm to travel visiting: Austrian Germany, Street Outlaws in Oklahoma City, Colorado and celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary in one of the most spectacular vacation retreats, Hawaii.

In her spare time, she enjoyed home projects, building and improving; the house, garage, tidying the woods at local family property, hunting with her father and brother, preparing meals with all the fixings for every occasion. She loved the pool and regardless of weather, with determination, it would be opened on Memorial Day and closed on Labor Day. She supported her husband's drag racing and quickly became his biggest sponsor and fan at the Thompson Raceway Park (track). Wanting to know what it felt like to race, she bought a second Ford Mustang, for herself. Her favorite song was from their wedding, "Awake" by Josh Groban. She absolutely loved Halloween, she decorated the front yard with a different scene year after year.

She is survived by her husband Joe Hlivko, her father William C Fetterolf, siblings Denise Fetterolf and her fiancé Rich Ksenich, Pamela Marendo and her husband Mark Marendo, Bill Fetterolf and his wife Megan Fetterolf.

The family would like to thank everyone who extended compassion, support, sympathy and kindness during a time when we needed it most. Your thoughts, prayers and beautiful flowers have been a great comfort to our family during this difficult time and we are truly grateful. A special thank you to Aunt Lorraine Revak who was a devoted caregiver supporting the day to day responsibilities over the past year for both Paula and Joe.

Memorial donations may be made in Paula's name to Albion Area Fair, P.O. Box 94, Albion, PA 16401. The funds will be used to build a memorial bench in her name and rebuilding the grounds for future generations to continue the tradition of celebrating the biggest little fair around.
