Raymond Turowski Obituary

Raymond M. Turowski Raymond M. Turowski, age 76, of Erie, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He was born June 18, 1932 in Erie, a son of the late Frank and Mary Ann Kulick Turowski. He had resided in Erie his entire life. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran and had also served in the Army National Guard. He had been employed by the former International Paper Co. for 41 years prior to his retirement in 1994. Ray was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Leona Cacek Turowski; one son, Raymond F. Turowski; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Janet Biletnikoff (husband, David), Joyce Turowski and Margaret Garver (husband, J.R.) all of Erie; two sisters, Clara Szymanowski and Sophie Sims, both of Erie; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C.
