Rene Fucci Obituary

Rene Fucci, 55, of Fairview, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014, after a brief illness. She was born November 25, 1959, in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank and Caroline Musica Fucci.

Rene had a gentle, loving heart, affectionate personality, always had a smile, and made many friends with everyone she came in contact with. She loved her music, with her CD player and headphones always close by, listening to her heartthrob "Elvis." Dancing and working the crossword puzzles or just doodling made her happy, along with the excitement when she made a paycheck working at the Barber National Institute.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Vincent Fucci; four sisters, Helen Corsi, Rosalie Martinucci, Carol "Babe" Fox and Anna Marie Braggins; and one niece, Terri Buzzanco.

She is survived by her seven nieces, Tammie Pellegrino of Millcreek, Debbie Kiggans and Tina Hunter, both of Texas, Linda Colesanti of New York, Carol Niedzwiecki of Erie, Melissa Hanson of Erie, Jennifer Braggins of York, Pa.; and five nephews, Mark Corsi of Millcreek, David and Frank Martinucci, both of Texas, Brad Braggins and Jason Fucci, both of Erie. Also surviving are great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Place, 136 East Ave., Erie, PA 16507. To send condolences, visit www.orlandofuneralhome.com.

The family wishes to express gratitude to each and every caregiver for the care and love tended to Rene's needs during the years with Barber National Institute;,especially her extended family and the caregivers she lived with on Alameda Drive, whom she loved very much.
