Richard W. Clancey

Richard W. (Ricky) Clancey, age 58, a resident of Erie passed away Wednesday December 2, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born January 16,1951 in Erie the son of the late Paul J. and Helen Ann Murray Clancey. Ricky loved music and watching TV game shows and action movies. He also enjoyed painting and being with his special friends at the group home. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Paul Clancey, Jr. Ricky is survived by a brother, Tim Clancey of Erie along with many cousins including his special cousin, Jean Minton. He is further survived by his group home family which includes Scott Horsemanko, Sharon Makay, Leroy, David, and Tom and all the loving people and caregivers from Lakeshore Community Services. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Place, Erie, PA 16507.
