Richard Hand Obituary
He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on February 13, 1934, the son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Wilson) Hand.
He grew up in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Tyrone High School. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he worked at Aero-Flow Dynamics, Inc. in Corry then General Electric, Erie, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Carol A. (Markle) Hand; his brother, Charles M. Hand; and sister, E. Lavonne (Hand) Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta (Goss) Hand; daughter, Crystal (Hand) Catalfu of Corry; two granddaughters, Caitlyn Catalfu of Erie, and Taylor (Doug) Savko of Waterford, Pennsylvania; a great-grandson, Lucas Savko; two step-children; three step-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jackie Hand of Erie.
A memorial service will be held in Melbourne, with burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. Memorial contributions can be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 4541 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne FL 32935.
