Ronald McMillen Obituary

Ronald P. McMillen, Sr., 68, of Buffalo St., Conneaut, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home. He was born July 5, 1943, in Edinboro, Pa. to the late Oliver McMillen and Marie (Stancliff) Oakes. He had resided in the Conneaut area for many years and worked as a mechanic at various shops throughout the years. Ron is survived by his daughters, Kristol (Tim) Williams of North Kingsville, Lourie (Jay) Shuster of Springfield, Pa., and Brittany Culver of Conneaut; sons, Steven McMillen of West Springfield, Brian McMillen of Conneaut, Jim (Vicki) McMillen of Conneaut, Michael (Heather) McMillen of Conneaut, and Chuck Slipcevick of Akron, Ohio; his ex-wife Elaine McMillen; sisters, Lois Brutto of Erie, Janet DoBeck of Erie, Joyce Loutzenhier of Conneaut, and Carol Jenkens of Jefferson; brother Byron (Sue) Oakes of Conneaut; 14 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Oliver McMillen, his mother and step-father, Marie and Byron Oakes; daughter, Kimmy McMillen; son, Ronald "Fuzzy" McMillen Jr., and step-son Paul Frye. Friends may call at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial of cremains at Glenwood Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
