The memories I have are from my younger years, but it seems like just yesterday that I was with Ronnie , skimming syrup in the "sugar shack", He made it feel like it was such an important job to me as a boy. What an awesome man he was. One who stood strong for what he believed in, while being loveing and kind on the inside. We parted ways as neighbors almost 30 years ago, but the memories of you all are still with me just like it was yesterday. The odd thing was....it was just this last Sunday that I was thinking back on those very days.

From afar, it seems so much of the news I get of the valley, is the news of passings. Unable to get home so often, I am glad we now have this means to share empathy with your loss of one of the valley's lifelong farm leaders. I am very sad to hear of Ronnie's death. I will forever remember all my great times at your house over the years. I'll never forget Ronnie's piercing blue eyes and his smile and teasing.
