Samuel Oaks Obituary
He was born in Jackson, Ky. on April 9, 1941, son of the late Chester and Marie Lynch Oaks and stepson of Joyce Oaks.
Sam was a retiree of Erie Coke and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Sam is survived by one son, Donnie Oaks; two brothers, John and Joseph Oaks; four sisters, Barbara Butts, Dixie Fry, Linda Blake, and Kimmy Swope; one granddaughter, Amber Oaks; three great-grandchildren, Kyla, Shania, and Camille; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his grandson, Donald Oaks, who was killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom; three brothers, Frank, Milton and Randy Oaks; and one sister, Shirley Titler.
Private interment will take place at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.

Our deepest sympathy. We got to know Sam from living at Harborcreek Senior Apartments. He was a friendly man with a good heart, who loved to play cards and bingo. Our heart goes out to all who loved him.

To the Oaks family and friends of Sam, I send my deepest sympathy and condolences. I did not know Sam, but my nephew Chris Burns used hang out with his grandson Don, and was devastated when he passed serving our country. Try to take solace knowing that they are both up in Heaven, reminisciing about all the great times they had together. God Bless, Dan Pollock
