I only knew Steve as an important employee at Wegmans. He was always very friendly and polite, always ready to help me with my meat requests. I knew that he loved to brew beer and I would stand and chat with him about his family life and kids. He was such a pleasant man. The meat department really isn't the same without him. This customer who shops at Wegman's sure misses you Steve!

Linda, Amanda, and Abby...I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Welch. Although I never did meet him when I had Amanda as a student, her face would always glow whenever she talked about her dad. My prayers and thoughts are with you as you all go through this difficult time. My wish is for you to find comfort in your memories and knowing that he is forever watching over you and the girls.

Linda and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a great, funny, crazy guy that I worked with at Wegmans. Steve was Pittsburgh and I was Cleveland, and we would always"rub it in the next day" as to which team won. I was really sad to hear of his passing, and I hope he has 50 yard lin e seats in the sky....

It saddens me to hear of Steve's death. I attended high school with Steve and looked forward to seeing him at Wegmans during my weekly shopping spree which sometimes consisted of three times a week. He always had a warm smile and spoke often of his girls. Steve shared with me his excitement about spending time with his children on Christmas. It was apparent the amount of love he had in his heart for his family. My deepest sympathy to family & friends. Your loss is heaven's gain. R.I.P. Steve, but know that you will be missed by many.
