Terry Borgia Obituary

Terry P. Borgia Terry P. Borgia, 49, a resident of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Hamot Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1959, in Erie, the son of the late Paul and Dorothy Lobaugh Borgia. Terry had attended East High School and formerly worked for Holiday Meats and Pastone’s Furniture. He loved refinishing old furniture and collecting antiques. He also helped in setting up and working estate sales. In his spare time he enjoyed yard sales and travelling to the casino. Even though Terry suffered from various ailments, he never let them slow him down, and was the first to help anyone in need. He had a wide circle of friends and especially enjoyed the time spent at the “back table” at Dominick’s Eatery. Terry is survived by two stepdaughters; Sarah Haines, of Erie and Heather Hilbert, of New York. He is also survived by an aunt, Rose Lobaugh and an uncle, Charles Lobaugh, and his wife, Pauline, along with a caregiver, Kelly Glass. Also surviving are many cousins and a host of friends. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at which time Funeral Services will be held. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Sign the guestbook at www.GoErie.com/obits

Terry was the greatest friend I could have ever had, he had a heart of gold. If you were ever in need he was there to help you out. His stories made you laugh, He could always find the good in anyone. I had the pleasure of spending many good times with him. And every weekend when he`s not with us at the restruant, it will not be the same. One thing I know for sure he had a lot of friends who love him and who will truely miss him....

To Terry I must say goodbye,
He wouldn't want to hear me cry.
A sweeter man I've never met,
in my heart I will never forget.

The angels came to take him home,
now I am left here all alone.
His time not long and much to short,
to memories now I must resort.

For everyone he had a smile and he
loved to sit and talk awhile.
Now in my heart, Terry still lives on,
until my time on earth is gone...

Then once again I will join my friend, together
in a time that will never end.

I Love you Ter....Your friend, your wife.....Dar

I worked with Terry a while, and he produced some of the most memorable moments of my life, for he dealt in Truth!

When I read my Bible and come to Hebrews 13:2, it says:

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."

In my time and my talks with Terry, I always wondered if he was one of those "angels", unaware to us.
His personal kindnesses to me were nothing short of "angelic" in nature.

Of the thousands of people I have met in my life, Terry is easily among those worth knowing,....and, remembering.

I will miss his love for his fellow man, especially the least among us.
I look forward to swapping stories with him anew, in heaven one day.
