Dear Barbara, Lisa, Tom, Andy and Kris,
My thoughts have been with you all this past week with the passing of "Mr. Omark". He hated when I called him that, but I had too much respect not to.
I am terribly sorry I was not able to make it in to Erie for his funeral. I am told by several friends who attended, it was a wonderful service and a fitting tribute to an outstanding man.
For many years, after I started carrying a Hammermill bag, folks in the industry would comment about Warren Omark and his unparalleled leadership capabilities. It made me so very, very proud to speak up and say " I've known Mr. Omark since I was in Jr. High". I am sure Andy can relate, and how Warren's reputation and admiration from within the industry lasted well beyond his working days.
I will forever be grateful for all the kindness Mr. Omark showed to me over the years.
Love-
Fritz

Warren was a great leader, friend and Role Model to me -as well as-so many others. This was true to those in the Paper Industry - and those who were fortunate enough to know him. Always ready for a good laugh at life,-he inspired those around him to look on the bright side of everything. A tireless worker, competitor and husband to Barbara.
