Betsy Hill, 69, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Betsy was born on June 30, 1953, in Hanna, Oklahoma, to Siah and Elizabeth (Phillips) Hill. She graduated from Sequoyah Tahlequah School.
Betsy married Nathaniel Grayson Sr. and two children were had from this union. She enjoyed beading, sewing, cooking, fishing, gardening, doing puzzle books, playing with her dogs and watching old movies. Betsy was a member of the Okfuskee Baptist Church.
Betsy is survived by her son, Nathaniel Grayson Jr. of Eufaula, Okla.; daughter, Karen White and husband Tully of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother, Levi Hill and wife Debbie of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sister, Janetta Hill of Eufaula, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Leah Elizabeth White and Vincent Andrew White.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Grayson Sr.; parents, Siah and Elizabeth Hill; brothers, Thomas, Dunson, Siah Jr., Commey "Gumby", and Colbert; and sister, Juanita Harjo.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at the Okfuskee Indian Baptist Church with Tom Pickering officiating.
Pallbearerers were William Hill, Jon Hill, Steven Hill, Jonathan Hill, Nicholas Hill, Colbert Hill Jr, Anthony Hill, Tyler Grogan, Timothy Grayson, Joey Lewis, Glenwood Grayson, Jonathan Grayson, James Higgins, Mikey Deere, Lewis McGirt, Eagen Hill, David Long, and Daniel Heneha.
Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
