Marjorie Johnson Obituary

Marjorie Johnson

Marjorie Mae Johnson, 73, passed away on December 30, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO surrounded by her family due to complications from COVID.

Margie, as she was called by her friends and family, was born July 5, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to John G. and Allie Wilsie Olivent Carr. She resided in St. Petersburg FL, Eufala AL, Germany, Bainbridge GA, Nashville TN, Jackson and Cape Girardeau MO.

Margie was a force to be reckoned with. If it needed done, she got it done. She loved her family fiercely. She lived a life full of travel, change, experiences, good cooking and leadership. She spent time as a block mason, a restaurant owner, an adoptive mother, a swim mom, and most recently as "Mama Bear" at the facility where she resided. To say she was loved by all is an understatement. Her presence with us here on Earth will be hugely missed until we see her again in Heaven.

Survivors include her four children, Michael Keillor (Kim) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Robert "Bobby" Warner (Rodney Patterson) of Scott City, MO, Kyle Johnson (Emily) of Nashville, Tennessee, daughter Michele Bell (Rodney Brown) of Scott City, MO, her brothers Gerald, Thomas, and Johnny Carr, and her nine grandchildren - Austin, Ali, Cole and Rion Keillor; Cole Proffer, Zoe Johnson, Bennett Johnson, Zamantha Brown, and Zaden Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Allie Carr.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date once it's safe to gather. Liley Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
