WIlliam Taylor Scroggins Jr.

William Taylor "Bill" Scroggins, Jr., 70, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Friday, September 16, 2022 at his residence.

Born January 19, 1952 in Eufaula, Alabama, Bill was the son of the late William Taylor and Jeanne Martin Scroggins, Sr. Bill was a graduate of the Clayton High School, Class of 1970. He attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He graduated from Troy State University in 1974. He was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed antique "picking". He loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Scroggins.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Peel Scroggins; his son: Bill Scroggins; his daughter: Julie (Mark) Andrews; 4 grandchildren: Chelsea (Dylan) Jones, Lindsey Andrews, Will Andrews, Bailley Scroggins; 1 great granddaughter: Dilynn Grace Jones; 2 sisters: Benelle (Bobby) Warr, Harriett (Larry) Seaborn.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eufaula Fire and Rescue, the Barbour County Humane Society or a favorite charity. Chapman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2-4 P.M. at the Old Pecan Factory in Eufaula, AL.
