Charles Ruppert Sr.

EAST BERLIN Charles L. Ruppert, Sr., 82, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. He was the husband of the late Dolores P. (Geiman) Ruppert, who died on October 14, 2002. Charles was born September 30, 1932, in East Berlin, the son of the late Melvin and Reba Viola (Weidner) Ruppert. Charles loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed watching wrestling, Nascar and Sprint car racing, listening to Johnny Cash, repairing lawn mowers and watches, and going to yard sales. Charles is survived by a son, Charles L. Ruppert, Jr. of Thomasville; four daughters, Margaret "Peg" A. Kline of Abbottstown, Gloria J. Hansford of Hanover, Jody E. Ruppert of Leonardtown, Md., and Angie L. Caporiccio of Raleigh, N.C.; three granddaughters; seven great-granddaughters; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 4, at 11 AM from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin. The Rev. Marjorie E. Lauver officiated.
