Dana Masemer Obituary

WEXFORD Dana Maria Masemer, 25, formerly of Gettysburg, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at her home in Wexford. She was the beloved daughter of Richard M. Masemer of Hanover and Betty L. (Martin) Smith of Bonneauville. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., of Finleyville, for her family and friends in the Pittsburgh area. Dana was born May 21, 1981, on her fathers 24th birthday. She was a graduate 1999 graduate of Littlestown Senior High School, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She played field hockey, volleyball, and basketball. She attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh, and Allegheny County community College, where she would have graduated in May 2007 as a Paralegal of Legal Services. In addition to her parents, Dana M. Masemer is survived by two brothers, Keith M. Masemer of Gettysburg, and David M. Masemer of Hanover; and a sister, Courtney M. Masemer (daughter of Wendy L. (Weaver) Masemer) of Bonneauville. She was the granddaughter of Ambrose (Tony) and Sandra Martin of Bonneauville and of the late Maurice and Margaret Masemer of Hanover. A memorial service will be held on Thursday by the Deacon Richard Weaver at the Bonneauville Community Fire Company Banquet Hall, 10 Elm St., for family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

i would like to thank all of you for the cards, prayers , phone calls , flowers and being at the services for my daughter. Dana was a good person, smart , loved life , her family. she will be missed. i will try and contact all who emailed , called. someone asked about donations , i would suggest your favorite charity or BONNEAUVILLE COMMUNITY FIRE COMPANY ,INC. who provided the firehall for Dana's memorial service. dana ,you were my first born. its hard to bury a child, especially a daughter wonderful as you. you were smart, wanted to learn , do good for others , be a leader.., etc. i could go on... to all who knew her or didn't , thank you for your prayers and thoughts. she is now with GOD.
