Debra L. Hanson

GLEN ROCK Debra L. Hanson, 40, entered into God's eternal care, unexpectedly, on October 9, 2015 at her home. Born June 27, 1975 in Westminster, Md., she was the daughter of Timothy J. Hartman of Glenville, PA and Ellen L. (Windsor) Williams of Marriottsville, Md.. She was the loving wife of Eric A. Hanson with whom she shared seven years of marriage. Debbie was a 1993 graduate of Liberty High School of Eldersburg, Md. She was a member of the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, Glenville. She was employed for several years by Final Notice of Maryland. Debbie will be remembered for her generous nature and her willingness to help anyone. She was free-spirited, carefree and adventurous. Most importantly, she was a great wife and mother and cherished her children dearly. In addition to her husband, Eric, and her parents, Debbie is survived by her children, Delilah L. Hanson, Evan A. Hanson both at home; her grandmothers, M. Ruth "Gran" Windsor of Hampstead, Md., Aline "Gram" Moran of Westwood, Mass.; her sister, Sandy Bollinger and her husband, Todd as well as their children, Brooke and Jake, all of Glen Rock; her father and mother-in-law, Artie and Heidi Hanson of Hanover; her brother-in-law, Aaron Hanson and his wife, Erin as well as their three sons, all of Glenville; and her sister-in-law, Amber Shaw and her husband, Dustin of Hanover. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Gail K. "Lou" Hartman. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, with her pastor, the Rev. David W. Miller officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, and a visitation, not a viewing, from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. David's Church Cemetery, Hanover.
