Donald Moyer Obituary

Donald R. Moyer, Sr., 67, entered into God's eternal care 8:55 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005, at York Hospital. Born March 18, 1938, in Chester County, Pa., he was the son of the late Willard N. and Agnes M. (Black) Moyer. Donald was the loving husband of Donna L. (Webb) Moyer to whom he was married for 22 years. Donald was a member of Lake Marburg Baptist Church, Spring Grove. He retired after several years as a heavy equipment operator. During this time, he worked for several companies including Springfield Contractors of Glen Rock. In addition to his wife Donna, Donald is survived by five sons, Donald R. Moyer, Jr. of Spring Grove and his wife, Anita M. Ladner of Poplarville, Miss., Joseph E. Crisamore and his wife Lisa Crisamore of Spring Grove, Ronald Crisamore of Hanover, Michael J. Brass of Spring Grove, Jason M. Warren and his wife Elizabeth A. Warren of Glen Rock; three daughters, Kathie M. Cummings of Lincoln, Calif., Staci L. Brass of Thomasville, Heather G. Slagle and her husband, Jeffrey A. Slagle of Spring Grove; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca Alex, Daniel, Amber, Christopher, Stephen, Rachel, Joe, Charity, Joshua and Sierra; five brothers, W. Bruce Moyer of Ronks, Arlen Moyer of Beaver Springs, Blaine Moyer of Parkers Ford, Pa., Sidney Moyer of Pennsylvania and Joseph E. Moyer of Arizona; five sisters, Thelma Jones of Birdsboro, Jean Martin of Denver, Pa., Lucille Donovan of Harrisonburg, Va., Gloria Mack of Oley, and Rebecca J. Zimmerman of Cole Camp, Mo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Moyer. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover with his pastor the Rev. Mark W. Rasnake officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. There will be a time for viewing and sharing memories from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be Donald R. Moyer, Jr., Michael J. Brass, Jason M. Warren, Arlen Moyer, Christopher Reed and Joseph Crisamore. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to the American Cancer Society, Square Commercial Center, 1 Center Square, Suite 4, Hanover, PA 17331.

Im so sorry to hear about your dad, I know the feeling when my mother passed away 4 yrs ago and then my father passed away 4mths after she did, so I know its rough at first but think as it this way, he wont be suffering anymore and he'll be looking down at you... Need anything, let me know...

we know what you are going through . i lost my husband jr. taylor jan. 11,2002 .so we are sending our condounces . just think of it this way he is not suffering any more. when you fill sad look toward the sky and when you see a star talk to your father .
