Elmer Miller Obituary
New Oxford - Elmer H. Miller Jr., 95, of New Oxford and formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home in New Oxford. He was the husband of Gloria G. (Garrett) Miller who died January 16, 2015.
Born October 17, 1923 in Hanover, he was the son of Elmer H. Miller Sr. and Melva M. (Zepp) Miller.
Elmer retired as an Industrial Specialist for the Federal Government after 28 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover, Shriners, Masons, and the Standardbred Barbershop Chorus. Elmer proudly served his country in the Army Airforce during WWII.
Surviving are four children, Jill Morrow and husband Frank Fleishman of Mechanicsburg, Vicki Knauff and husband Jeffrey of Ruskin, FL, Kristi Jordan and husband Edward of Mechanicsburg and Matthew Miller and wife Heather of Camp Hill; nine grandchildren, Brian Morrow, Andrew Knauff, Lindsay Hall, Amanda Buzzelli, Edward Jordan III, Christopher Jordan, Eric Jordan, Logan Miller and Abigail Miller; three great-grandchildren, Conner Morrow, Avery Hall and Cecilia Buzzelli; and two siblings, Margaret Noel and William Miller both of Hanover.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown with Rev. Marjorie Lauver officiating. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
