George Rill Obituary

NEW OXFORD George C. Rill, Jr., 60, passed to his eternal rest on Thursday April 26, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Denise B. (Wolfe) Rill for almost 14 years. He was born February 1, 1947, in Lineboro, Md., the son of the late George, Sr., and Ethel (Caltrider) Rill. He was a cook with Bentley's Family Restaurant of Littlestown and prior to that he had been with Bullock's Airport Inn, Westminster, Md. He was a member of Littlestown F.O.E.; Harney VFW, Hanover VFW and Taneytown American Legion. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping, car shows, boating and collecting classic cars and beer steins. He was also an avid joke teller. He is survived by two daughters, Brittany Rill of New Oxford, and Tina Heiser of Taneytown, Md.; three sons, Lester 'Ted' Rill, Rodney Rill and Ryan Rill, all of Taneytown, Md.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Gloria Wike of Manchester, Md.; and five brothers, Albert Rill of Taneytown, Md., Van, Barry and Randy Rill, all of Manchester, Md., and Harold Caltrider of Manchester, Md. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Jim Rill. Funeral service will be Monday, April 30, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager, of St. David's U.C.C. Hanover, officiating. Viewing will be Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, Md. Pallbearers will be, Rodney Rill, Jr., Ted Rill, Justin Heiser, Ryan Rill, Jr., Ray Wike, Greg Wike, Gordon Warehime, Jr., Rusty Rill and Dustin Rill. Contributions have been asked to go to the family at 98 Sherrill Dr., New Oxford, PA 17350.
