Doris Maxine Yates SILVERTON -- Funeral services for Doris Maxine Dillard Grimland Yates, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rance Young, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview. Mrs. Yates died Saturday, May 15, 2004, in Tulia. She was born the second of 10 children on Aug. 27, 1929, in Ralls to J.W. and Elma Dillard. She helped raise her siblings before marrying Jesse Grimland. He is deceased. She had worked as manager for Allsup's, Brush Country Bank, The Freer Press in Freer and for the City of Ralls. She attended First Baptist Church in Silverton and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class, Women's Missionary Union and Silverton Senior Citizens Exercise class. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry and Sally Grimland and Alan Grimland, all of Silverton; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jim Davis of Silverton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
