Hard to believe it has been 5 years since Herb was promoted to glory having completed his work on earth. I have so many memories: Teen meetings at his house where I prayed publicly for the first time after trusting Christ as my Savior; playing on Aunt Kitty's softball team with him; the long conversation we had after my freshman year in Bible college; visiting with my wife and me during my first pastorate in the state of Maine, to name a few. His devotion to Christ, his straightforwardness of conviction and his love for youth were an encouragement to me. Blessings of June and Elaine and family. Pastor Merle D. Brown

Dear June and family, Our deepest sympathies to each of you. Happiness and faithfulness seemed to be a part of our every encounter with Herb and we have always agreed he was the best Sunday School teacher ever. We are saddened by your loss, a loss felt in some way by all with whom Herb touched with his special Love. From the time we met Herb, we knew he was sincerely concerned that we had a personal relationship with the Master he worshipped and adored and that alone spoke volumes for the friend he was to us and many. God's beloved servant is truly Home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Gene and Ruth Meckley

To June and Elaine and family be assured of our prayers as you rest in the God of all comfort in Herb's home-going. For the believer sadness this side of heaven is bearable because of our hope in Jesus our Redeemer. I have many fond memories during the early years of my Christian growth and development of which Herb through the Lord Jesus made an impact in my life. He will be greatly missed and we look forward to seeing him again! Blessings, Merle (and Bonnie) Brown
