Irene E. Cool

LITTLESTOWN Irene Emma Cool, 77, died Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Golden Living Center, Get tysburg. Born March 23, 1932 in Barlow, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Chipley) Bowers. Irene was the loving wife of Robert L. Cool who died August 19, 2000. Irene was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church, Thurmont, Md. Irene is survived by one brother, John Bowers of Altoona; three sisters, Susan Fogle of Fairfield, Debbie Eckard of Taneytown, Md. and Dianna Bowers of Frederick, Md.; and her dear cousins, Lavanna and Frank Nestor of Frederick, Md. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald L. Cool and Michael R. Cool; one brother Frank Bowers; and two sisters, Margaret Kelly and Nancy Plank. A service to celebrate and remember Irene's life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Bonneauville, with her Pastor the Rev. James A. Coblentz officiating. A viewing and time to share memories will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
